How is LG with updates to the latest Google software?

I made another post on coming from the s6 to the g4 and I'm sorry making another thread but it looks like I'll have to pay full price for the phone and want all the info possible before pulling the trigger. So my question is based on past lg phones, when could I expect Android M if I were to get the g4?

Hmmm....when I did get L on the G3? A couple of months after my Nexus 5 if I recall right. Both unlocked devices.

If Google officially drops M in October, I'd say January or February for the G4 after LG does it's thing and pushes it to the carriers.
