How is your battery life?Note 2

So after fairly heavy media streaming. I'm at 17%. I'm talking about 9hrs streaming over TuneIN. Using 4G. Screen time is only 2.5 hrs but that makes sense since I was streaming. I should be able to last another few hours before I'm completely drained. Loving this battery life.

Alright, so I got my Note 2 a couple days ago and I love it. The only problem is, I'm not getting nearly the kind of battery life that everyone else is getting. I'm gonna upload some screenshots of my usage today, and I'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out as far as how i could get better battery life. So today, I turned my brightness all the way to the lowest setting, power saving was on almost all day, I switched my mobile network setting to CDMA only since I don't get LTE here, and then my wifi was on most of the day. I'm not sure why my battery life is so low compared to everyone else's, but if someone could tell me what's going on I'd really appreciate the help. The only thing I could think of is the mobile network is doing this. Now the completely red part you'll see in the picture could've been avoided using airplane mode and I'll do that in the future (it wss sitting in a locker at the gym), but other than that one section, I need the mobile network to be on so I can receive any texts/calls. The Note 2 is an amazing phone, but if the battery is gonna hamper my ability to use all the features freely, it would be really disappointing. So again, if you have anything I could try, please tell me. Thanks.

It lasts so much longer than any phone I've ever had in the past. I unplug it from the charger at 7:30 am and the battery will be down to 45% at 2 am. It's awesome.

My first suggestion is to get rid of mobile lookout. There is no reason for it. At least not on the note. 4 plus hours of screen time isn't that bad. Are you using Gmail or the other email app. What's syncing?

Yes, this and only this.

I can get about 10 hours of screen time on a full charge. I think that's fantastic. I keep a charger at work for a quick 1 hour top-up mid-afternoon to get me through the evening without battery warnings. My 4S got about 4 hours screen time. Great device, tiny battery = use it less.

What's mobile lookout and how do I get rid of it? And I'm using the standard email app with two email accounts set up, but they're both set to only sync manually. Notifications for all my social networking sites and games are turned off as I check them everyday and don't need the phone to waste battery fetching for that stuff. When I go to settings under the "accounts" section, all of my accounts say "sync disabled." So I'm not really sure what's going on unless the mobile connection is draining the battery.

And I feel like this wasn't to me as the guy below me has "lookout" in his screenshot and I do not. Whoops.....

How are you getting 8hrs of screen time? Mind posting your settings. I'm topping off around 6 or so.

I can't believe what a difference turning off the 4 system sounds (keytones, touch, screen lock and haptic) makes. At the time of writing I am usually around 15-20% depending on usage with system sounds on. Currently I am at 47% with the 4 system sounds turned off.

I do wish they would make the sounds more efficient. I don't get why they would cause wakelocks, especially if you have the phone on mute (not even vibrate). There's a serious flaw there and it's a shame to have to turn them off.

Ok so here's a little update to my post yesterday. In short, I'm still not getting nearly the kind of battery life that most people are talking about. I got more time out of the phone today, but I was barely using it until the end. As you can see in my screenshots, the screen was on for around an hour less than yesterday, but still went down to 11% with that time. My mobile connection was much better today, wifi was off when I wasn't using it, power saving was on the whole time, and the brightness was all the way down most of the time. I really wanna get my battery to its full potential, so if someone could help me out it would be awesome.

Here's a suggestion. I have noticed better battery life when I let the Sprint connection optimization app work its magic. Especially when you have no connection to the network. Give it a try if you aren't already.

My best yet!

This is a Verizon Note 2 with a stock battery running "Beans" ROM. Power saving mode off. Imagine what it would be like if I turned it on!

Just got my N2 and I am so impressed. My last phone was the G2X. it sucked so hard. Even with an extended battery (3100) I couldnt get through a whole day. Twitter, text, light browsing, all while on wifi or 4g. I unplug about 6am, and am on about 25% 12 hrs later.

Easily a day, sometimes a day and a half. Generally am on the phone 6-7 hours a day being in sales and have the phone linked to bluetooth all day as well. Simply amazing phone even better than the S3 which was leaps and bounds better than my last phone.

Simply put: If it lasts me 8hrs or longer (especially during my work week), that's more than good enough for me.:D
Unlike my previous phone (which is the Nexus). :-\
