Also, your phone is constantly awake even when the screen isn't on. There is some app or setting causing a wake lock.
This is preventing it from going to deep sleep and reduces the battery life.
A normal rate should deliver about 7 hours of on screen time.

Are most of you using 4.1.1 or 4.1.2? This seems to make quite a difference in battery usage.. (about 30% less given the different reports I have read on this)

Would Skype and steam mobile be to blame for keeping it awake?

Edit: I've closed them, but it seems it is still not going into deep sleep.
The battery seems to be conserved a bit more after closing them, though.

Running 4.1.1 on US Cellular SCH-R950.

I recently updated to 4.1.2. Doesn't seem to be a 30% decrease. I've still been getting about a day and a half.

There is a partial wakelock: UsbStorageUnmounter

This seems to be a USB OTG related bug. Tends to Wake lock when usb otg is disconnected through the shortcut on the notification screen.

To remove the wake lock you can try restarting the phone. To prevent it in future, you can disconnect otg through the settings / storage / unmount option instead of the shortcut

I rebooted my note and it fixed the wakelock problem, but im still getting crappy battery life. At 85% only 3 hours 45 mins in. It's getting alot more sleep but I still have a poor signal. Battery is still dropping in airplane mode with wifi on. About an hour of screen time.

Usually a day.
I browse the internet a lot and play games

I have been streaming Sirius since 630 am plus other use durning the day and still have 50 percent, which is amazing. Doing same thing with my evo lte I would have a dead battery by now.

Note 2, it's true, ,size is everything!

The earlier stats extrapolated gives ~5 hours total screen time.
15% drop for ~1 hour screen time gives 6.7 hours which is pretty reasonable since the ballpark target is about 7 hours.

I get great battery and screen time. Ranges anywhere from 19-26 hrs and anywhere from 6-8 hrs screen time. It all depends on how I use my phone of course.

This seems fine, actually. My estimate, which works pretty well for my N2, is about 12%/hour of screen time + 0.5%/hour of being on, so at exactly 1 hour of screen time with 3:45 of on time, I'd expect use of just under 14%. Use of the phone as a phone will also drain it a little bit.

Hi

Usually people mistakingly post battery time without the screen on time, you've done the opposite :)

While over 5 hours screen time is great for a normal phone, I used to be able to get 8 hours or more before I switched to 4.1.2.

This is what I'm getting with 4.1.2 with my typical days use.

Seems pretty good, and its close to 4.1.1 figures

Decent times. . And excellent compared to other phones.

I just find that the android system shouldnt be a few percent lower than the screen time. I always found before the update and on previous phones that the screen woukd be closer to 100% than 50 and the android system and os would barely feature on the list.

Sinilarily ive noticed you turned wifi (and data too I assume) for a long period of time.

Not sure if it's just me, but I've noticed that wifi seems to drain a lot more battery than it should, whereas I would get little to no drain with it on previous phones or 4.1.1 where this will drain a couple percent every hour while idle.

hello guys,

is it normal for the upper portion of the note2 to get warm/hot when using wifi/mobile data for at least 2 hours?

My phone can last for 7 hours only.. that is troublesome for me sometime.. anyone can help me?
