for those who use their phone without cases and bumpers (like me!) how is it holding up?

mine is too new to tell (so far so good) but i would like to hear from people who have had their phone for some time. scratches? dents? scuffs? please share your experience!

thanks.

I have a tiny scuff on the bottom chamfered edge. No idea how I got it but I think it was from a metal bumper I tried. It sucked so I tossed it and just go commando.

Still looks like brand new. The only part picking up scratches is the ir blaster. I got a tiny spot on the side where a paint chipped off but its just a millimeter spot. Amazing how this thing is tough.

better get a case, it hurts hard when phone gets scratches

i know what you are saying.

but to me it hurts even more putting such an aesthetically beautiful phone in a rubber case. never done it with an iphone, dont plan to do it here.

hence why i am interested in hearing people's experience with it.

My first One was naked when I go out but used a TPU case at work.

The only issue I had was the IR Blaster/Power Button, made a mistake using my nails. :( Lesson learned for my second One.

Been naked for 4 months now and only dropped it once have a little dimple top left corner of the phone but not too bad. I'm still going naked. I do have a screen protector though

there are many transparent case out there, I'm using one, feel very comfortable when putting down on surfaces and also protect the camera lense
you should also pay attention to the edge, very fragile, mine has 3 dents already

My dad was using the phone when I first bought it, and he dropped it on asphalt one time, so I have a couple of dinks on the corners of my phone.

Other than that, it looks great. Maybe a slight scratch (very tiny) on the screen, and a little dirtying of the bottom (white) strip on the back. Nothing big.

How many would sell their One after a drop with dents & scratches?

It wasn't the reason why I sold my first but I do sell all my toys after an incident.

My S4 got dinged up and the buyer couldn't believe it because he could barely see it. I didn't mind because I made money off it and love my Note 8 LTE.

Naked at home, wallet case when going anywhere. Phone has held up wonderfully, no issue to report, very satisfied with the phone!!!

I am loving it. I love my phones being naked so I can fully enjoy them.

So far i have no marks at all... Looks brand new. I am always sure to be very careful when handling it.

I feel the phone is beautiful...but even though I've never dropped a phone I still put a case on it. I'm terrified of even the thought of dropping this thing. Mine is in mint condition obviously due to my overprotectiveness...but it's worth it. I let it free at work or at home.

I used mine without a case till I dropped it. A couple of dings on the body, but my htc warranty is now probably void. A case is a must in my opinion.

Slight hairline scratches on back of Black HTC One due to normal wear and tear. Slight nick on chamfer edge on bottom left due to 3 ft. drop. Owned for about a month.

Mine has been naked since day 1, which was early May. I have to look real close to see some very minor scratches on the back but at arm's length is still just about as good as new. I'm very impressed with how well it's held up.
