I filmed a couple of videos, both around 2 minutes and they are around 105mb. Is this about right? Seems like it's a big file for such a short video.

And of course, I can't upload them to youtube because there seems to be some bug where the phone wont let you upload youtube videos larger than 100mb, even on wifi.

Well solution to the youtube problem is to transfer the file to your PC then upload it from there.

As for file size yeah thats about right. Files will be bigger if filmed in full lit areas and the screen is full of light.

Film in the dark and it will be significantly smaller file sizes. This goes for picture sizes as well.

I've been averaging about 1MB/sec on my videos@ 720p, so yours sounds about right to me.

FYI - if your video is just a bit too long and you really want to send it via your phone, you can edit the video right on the phone under edit and advanced settings...shorten your 105 mb vid by a few seconds and you'll be under 100 mb...

You will have to download it to your computer first. Once you do that use Binfer [http://www.binfer.com] to send it directly from computer to computer. You wont be able to email such large file. Another alternative is to FTP it.

Upload big video from device to youtube? have not done yet.

I have been using a free app YouCast. It allows me to send file without size limit. I can send video to android device, blackberry via phone#(SMS) or PC User via email address. The big high light of this app is that video should be push to the recipient's device, not click to download like PC browser. The upcoming version of YouCast will have function for youtube, myspace, facebook according to the web site www.youcast.net

Go to market search Youcast
