I think my battery runs out pretty quickly, but I want to compare the battery life to see if it's normal or just bad. How long does your phone last playing games consecutively, on normal use (like no games) and on standby? :'(

No games and light surfing, BT music, email...I think I can get almost 2 days.

If my kiddo starts playin games and using YouTube, it will last until late evening.

2 full work days... About 4 to 5 hours SOT on average over 2 days, 7am until 11pm the next day, rarely have less than 25% at that time.

About two full days of moderate use for me. Lots of medical app use, lots of texting, a few calls per day.

I turn off bluetooth, wifi and location when I get to work... makes a huge difference.

Been on since 5:30 am and I am at 60% battery.

Of note, battery life seemed to improve shortly after the latest verizon updates this month, got an even better improvement after doing a hard reset.

I find better battery life with data and wifi on all the time. I turn Wifi off when not at home. I get 2+ days mostly. Currently at 91 hrs with 36% battery left.

No gaming and light to moderate surfing. Occasional phone calls and texting. Location, synch, bluetooth and wifi off (when not in use) all switched off, brightness 70% - 3 days battery.

Went over 96 hrs. Bet it could have made 100. I average around 2 days mostly.

Well I'm in the bad battery life camp, even after rooting and roming.

I barely get 2 hours SOT max in one day, and before I got a custom rom I would maybe get ~1h 15 mins in a day. I have a big problem with Android OS and Android System taking a lot of battery. I wish I could get the kind of time other people talk about :(

You have a problem that is likely correctable, have you tried Wakelock Detector or GSAM Battery Monitor to see what's chowing up the battery? That isn't normal, even on the worst days...

You have a major problem. The G2 since it hit the market has been a pillar when it comes to battery. Of course drainage will vary based on usage. In fact what your reporting would be considered poor on any Android device on the market. Sorry I can't blame Android for this one especially since your rooted and running different ROMs. Have you ever looked into a defective battery being the cause???

Again, my battery life was always more or less like this; I only just rooted. I have considered the possibility that I have a defective battery. I just installed wakelock detector, so I'll report on what it says later.

I used to have bad battery life. I turned off location services and it has improved a ton.

You need to make some adjustments on your settings. I get mostly 48-65 hours between charges.

One thing that can be changed, and seems to be a persistent battery drain no matter the updates is the google play app music sync setting. Changing from automatic sync to manual made a huge difference for me.

Settings Accounts > Google > tap on your account email > scroll down to Google Play Music and uncheck it. Reboot

Big difference for me.

Moderate surfing (both wifi and 4G) with 4G monthly totals being about 3-4 GB. No games, several emails a day, fantasy football, garage door, home automation apps. About 4/5 of a day charge.
