How long does it take for me to send texts on a new device?

I just got my Samsung Galaxy S6 and i can't send texts. I've had it for about an hour or so now. I was just wondering if it's just a bug, or i'm not doing something that i should be

Thats seems more of a carrier issue...I'd check with your carrier

I've had similar issues upon activating a new device. Usually it resolves itself within a few hours. I'll admit that I've never been on T Mobile though.

Seems a bit odd, I switched from an iphone 6+ to a nexus + and had no issues with txt messages, and then had to grudgingly go back to the iphone 6+ while I wait for my Galaxy S6 & ZenFone 2 to arrive next week. Nexus 6 didn't work out for me. Still I had pretty quick results both times with txt msgs. If you don't get them after a few hours call AT&T and ask.

Did you switch to a new carrier? If still on the old it should work right away. On a new one it can be 1-24 hours usually.
