How long does it take for the battery to settle in?

I just got my gold HTC one m8 from best buy on Monday. I feel like the battery isn't doing so great and it's running pretty warm. Will it eventually work itself out and get better? I don't want to take it back and lose everything and have to redownload stuff.

Well, I would say why don't you walk towards nearest support centre and fix that battery up I know you are bit concerned about your stuff but I think they are just going to change your battery not the whole device.

If I'm within my 14 days as I am u better believe they will replace the device and not just my battery....
