How long does Nexus 7 repair take?

I just checked my status this morning, says its repaired and is being packed for shipping. I will update and inform you all of when I recieve it and of its been fixed or replaced. Just a heads up my issue was the it not powering back on issue, it also wouldn't charge and when I did have it powered back on it would go in and out of stand by. Based on my symptoms I read (after I sent it in.....sigh) that its a software related issue but I'm not sure if it got fixed with the recent update that came out late February plus some users have reported they never had the issue. Regardless prior to me reading that I thought it was a hardware issue, regardless it shouldn't have taken this long but we will see what the verdict is when it arrives. I like this forum, it helps to rant lol

Ok so here is a break down cause this will pretty much answer anyone's question who comes on this thread wondering what we have all been wondering about the process.

3/11/2013 Sent my Nexus 7 in on monday (issue wouldn't power on or charge, possibly software or hardware related)
3/13/2013 UPS confirmed delivery and signature on wenesday
3/15/2013 Asus doesn't update site with info until friday (status was changed to "repairs in progress")
3/21/2013 After 4 business days of no status changes asus completes repairs and ships today
3/26/2013 Target arrival day via ground shipping through fed ex

Takes them exactly 14 days for me to recieve my product not counting the days it took to ship which you have to pay for so if you choose ground naturally you could be waiting as long as 19 to 20 days. I shipped 2nd day air thinking it wouldn't take long to get my tablet back.

Took them 4 business days exactly to apparently fix the device (which should only really take a day) but they had it for 6 business days total( I'm naturally not counting the Weekend)

I'm sure everyone's experience is different but I'm pretty sure this is average expectation time.
I hope this helps :)

I sent my Nexus 7 in on 2/27/13 and they show it received on 3/4/13. I have still not received it back. I talked to them yesterday and they said they were waiting on a part. Some of you must of used up all the parts. My problem was it would not power up or charge. So why has it been so long for me. I wouldn't have a problem if it was only 10 business days but it has been 17 now. I only had the tablet for maybe a month.

Can you help please. I sent my N7 in and received same message of costumer induced damage were you check RMA status. I never received an email giving me a repair cost price. Next email I got was shipping info back to me. I'm worried they didn't fix my broken screen and is sending me back a broken tablet. Which is frustrating because I would of paid for the repair. Anyone have an issue like this?

I've been anxiously awaiting our repaired tablet. I authorized (and they acknowledged payment) on 2/6 and the RMA status on the website is still "Product repair is in progress.-[WF4] Wait for Customer Confirmation-Customer Induced Damage \Out-Of-Warranty 2013/01/30" . I hope it comes next week.
Where would you authorize payment for them to fix it?

I sent my N7 is for repair to Asus. It took about 2 weeks. I just got it back yesterday. I originally sent it in because it wouldn't turn on. I have been using it for 4 months & it is under Asus 1 year manu. warranty. Problem #1 I got it back yesterday & it seemed to be working fine. This morning i wake up to it with an X in the center with a flashing square every 3 seconds. It rebooted itself at the time & seemed fine. However I just picked it up & it was turned off for some reason. Turned it back on & it seems ok. So there is still some issue with it turning itself off & rebooting. Problem #2 I originally purchased a 32Gb, it seems the one they sent back is an 8gb. So i will be back on the phone with Asus to complain about the shadiness of returning to be an 8GB not a 32GB, plus the other issue with the rebooting. I believe they just regutted my original N7 with an 8GB. The exterior is my original N7. Not happy. They tried pull a fast one on me

Your post sounds pretty unbelievable to me.

After about 2 weeks, mine wouldn't react to the charger or boot up, and there was flicker on a black screen, it took five hours to fix, but I didn't ship it, took it to the store by myself.

I called Asus and told them about my situation. They were very apologetic. They initiated another RMA. They also had me take pictures of the settings page verifying it's an 8GB. I sent those off to an email address of someone higher up in ASUS that the customer service rep has given me. I am supposed to get a phone call from this person to discuss the situation. At this point I am demanding a brand new 32GB since the one i had was only 4 months old. A refurbished N7 won't cut it, especially after the debacle that has happened.

Yes mine's looking like its going to take that long........
Currys said one week now its close to two weeks and they said they have no information so probably more like a month. I only bought the machine 1 month ago and it'll be at the repaiirs longer than I had it to use......lesson.....stick to Apple. Plus I cannot get money back....

Shame its really poor service that. Had mine a month and it broke. Think it is Andriod 4.2 related. Still waiting to get mine back after 2 weeks via Currrys. Good luck. I think I go back to Apple.

So our 6 month old Nexus 7 is dead! Sent it in only to be told that "we" did something to it? Huh I don't think so. This product it faulty and has defective tendencies . What kind of company makes this kind of crap.

I had a asus vivotab that quit functioning shortly after purchase; I sent it to asus. They had it for about a week, three weeks total it to to ship, fix and receive . It was as good as new.

I sent mine in on Saturday Nov 22, 2014 - My daughters Nex 7 2012 died just like others did when androind Jelly Bean updated was pushed. I bought hers November 2013 and it was dead by January 2014, I finally got it out of the drawer and sent it in before warranty expired, I know they received it on Monday Nov 24th - I paid 7 bucks extra for 2 day shipping. I;m sure they have had to fix or replace motherboards in many of the Nexus 7 2012 editions, I figured it would take a couple weeks at the most. I will check in when my RMA status gets updated.

Good Luck!
