I would actually call ~ 3GB/mo to be heavy usage. Those with 10+ GB of use are streaming a lot of video and music. 3 GB for just browsing and email is a lot of use. It's not outrageous by any means, but pretty high nonetheless.
I think average use for browsing and email would be 750 MB - 1 GB. Remember that something like 98% of smartphone users use less than 2 GB/mo.
Got you. I think in my mind I wouldn't be any where near that kind of usage if I lived back in North Carolina where all my family and friends are. I typically only go "HOME" 2 times per year to visit because of that friends and family are always asking for pictures so I am uploading to Facebook and E-Mailing pictures all the time... Typically if I have a video I hook on to WiFi just because it's a heck of a lot faster and easier that way (No solid 4G where I live)
I also travel for a living and see things I consider weird or odd or funny, plus a few work related pictures as well... Like last week while in Kentucky I saw a pick up truck on the highway doing 70 MPH with a couch in the back of the pick up... as I came up on the pick up there was what looked like a 13 - 15 year old boy sleeping on the couch in the back of the truck.... I had to slow down and get a picture of that.....
My guess is if I lived back in North Carolina I wouldn't use up half of what I am using data wise..... I don't download a lot of Apps, I don't stream music too often (15 minutes a day at most) very rarely watch video and don't play any games... I do use the internet a lot looking up things and just basic news/information....
