How long does your S6 Active take to charge?

Picked up my active last week and love the device. Only issue is how long it takes to charge.

It takes 5+ minutes (when plugged into my Mac) to go up 1% on battery meter (when I plug in around 50% charge, its reporting 4 hours to completely charge) with the phone powered off. I know it has a beefy battery, but this seems excessive....


So I wanted to poll the team here for their experience:

1. How long does it take you to charge using the adaptive charger?
2. How long with a normal charger or plugged into a PC?

It takes 1 hour 45 minutes from 0 to 100 using the quick charger with the phone off.

Don't charge from your pc if you want fast charging.

Took about an hour and twenty minutes to charge back to 100%. Quick charge, phone on.

Just to add to the comments above, I notice that charging my s6 Active with one of my old, standard wall chargers it can take over 8 hours if the phone is close to 0%. Quick charger that came with the phone or bought separately (I bought a samsung OEM wireless charger and it comes with a quick charger) it's roughly 100 minutes from 0 - 100%.

Moral of the story is it will take several times longer to charge this phone by older means. I still use my "standard" chargers for overnight charging most of the time as I've heard that quick charging can reduce the life of the battery long term, but I'm guessing this is probably not a realistic concern on my part unless I keep this phone for over the 2 years my contract is for (and I'm sure there will be something drool worthy 2 years from now that will entice me to upgrade, lol).
