I have best buy insurance and have been waiting ten days for my replacement. They tell me it's back ordered. should it take that long or should I fight to get one from stock

If it's back ordered then it's back ordered. They won't give you one from stock. Did they give you a loaner?

What does their Contract say as far as how long they have . This is why I was leery of BB as I had other Computer issues with them Fixing it and rally just delaying everything to run the warranty out , so if it broke again they wouldn't need to cover it . It did and I was pissed and filed with BBB and got a new one but who needs that.

Yes they gave me a loaner an Evo shift but I bought an Evo LTE and don't care for the shift

Nobody likes the shift. The loaner won't ever be a new phone. It isn't best buys fault the phone is backordered. It's HTC. They have up to 30 days to get you that phone.

When I went to BB to return my phone because of some issues they just pulled a phone from their stock and promptly swapped it out. Even the associate said they would usually send it out for reapirs and give me a loaner, but since they had a lot in stock they just gave me a new one (I also have the black tie program).

Strange BB still has it backordered. The associate said that when the phone was first released there was a pretty good run on the it and they had low stock levels. But sales have tapered off a bit. She also said some of it had to do with the released of the SIII which was selling fairly briskly.

But I guess that situation varies from store to store.

It does vary. Bigger stores get more. It also depends on the sales of that store.

You don't want to know how long they had my phone for a cracked screen. I am boiling inside right now.

I'm considering it, trust me. It will be 30 days on the 29th. If its not back in my hands then, BB is suppose to junk it and give me a new one.

That's why i pre ordered mine on line at Sprint. I received it 5 days before everyone else and yesterday i had an issue with it. The Sprint store didn't give me any problems, just swapped it out with a new one. They made sure all my contacts were transferred and that it was configured to my liking before leaving. People always complain about customer service, I've always found it's all in how you approach people (in person and on the phone). You get a lot farther with honey than you do #$%^. That being said, i would have talked to a supervisor and asked to check stock levels at your surrounding BBs. Yes they can do that, yes another store can hold it for you. You should not have to wait that long...

Two weeks for me and I received a new one
