How long for Verizon to release a 32GB Galaxy S5?

Re: How long for Verizon to release a 32GB S5 ?

I have 0 games on mine, and i use safestrap. i have about 1.4gb available which means i am always having to delete stuff. i am unable to rent tv shows or movies and save them on my device since i am so low on memory. Being limited is very annoying, so bad i will switch to my 32gb s3 for when i travel.

Sd cards will hold that stuff and then you aren't locked into one device to watch your movies on.

I just can't understand this. I can't be the only one waiting to buy the 32GB version on Verizon.

You would still be in your return window.

I bought mine at best buys absurd full retail of $749 so I could use my elite plus 45 day return window (that's what you get best buy for charging $150 more for NO REASON)...

So once the 32gb hits, I'll pick it up from Verizon and return this one to best buy and get my $750 back.

Fyi - Best Buy will price match the carrier store. I have done it several times including last month.

Why need a 32gb phone when you could get a 32gb or a 64gb sd card?

There is another thread where this has been argued before...but, the reason is after all the bloat and the operating system on the 16GB phone you really only have maybe 7 to 9GB left (since I don't have the S5 yet, maybe someone can verify what is left). Also, you can't just move all your apps to the SD card. Many won't work correctly there and some CAN'T be moved there. I use my phone for work, pleasure and games and want the 32GB. I can't understand why this is such a big problem for Samsung/Verizon. I currently have the S3 at 32GB and that version came out 2 years ago just a few weeks after the initial release.

THIS EXACTLY! This is why I want the 32gb version because of their bloat they put on it. And I can tell you I went to the store and looked at the available ram your pretty much on it. You get LESS then HALF free of your 16gb. I'd pay extra if I could get the phone without any of their apps they think we need to have.

I went to my local VZW store at lunch today and looked at the 3 S5s they had in stock. I would assume these display phones would not have a lot of apps on them and yet all 3 only had between 7.5 and 8.5 GB free out of the supposed 16GB you get.

I just got my 16 Galaxy s5 today and got a 16 go SD along with it because the phone really only comes with 10 Gb of storage and that's not acceptable anymore so for now sadly that's what you have to do

Out of the box I had just over 10gb of space free. I don't see a 32gb variant coming to Verizon.

This consistently asked question is why Verizon and others do not offer a 32gb model. Verizon likes one model and sells a lot more of this size due to price point.

The proof or disproof of this will be if they offer the 16 or 32 version of the G3. G3 has an sd slot, so carriers can still partially misguide about expendable storage.

Ignorance is bliss.

I can't believe in this day and age a manufacturer would make anything less than a 32GB! Most of the better companies like LG and HTC got it right though!

SENT VIA MY LG G-FLEX ON SPRINT, POSTED BY ANDROID CENTRALS APP....LIFE IS GOOD✌

Because they can and people buy them. In the carrier's defense, I do not think Samsung have exactly went out of their way to offer a 32gb.

Re: How long for Verizon to release a 32GB S5 ?

Yeah Verizon was way behind the ball last year and 6 weeks late on the GS4 32GB is a joke. I am on a pre-paid right now so I can at least have dial tone and make calls until the 32GB GS5 comes along. If it doesn't I will hold out for something else. GN4 perhaps.
You get a dial tone on your cell phone?
