How long has this been an option?

It used to be that, if you were in vibrate mode, you'd always see the applicable icon in the top right cluster. Then it stopped showing up. For a long time we discussed it not being there, and debated whether it was a significant bug. ("After all, you see it if you pull the notification banner down a smidge")

I'd gotten to the point where I was ready to move on with my life and simply forget I was in vibrate mode every time I turned it on. Then I started playing around in sound settings after getting my new Pixel Buds (which are FANTASTIC) and I see this option, which I swear never used to be there. Did this sneak in in a recent update?

I think it was a recent update. But can't tell you when.

Yeah that probably was added not long ago

Always Show Vibration Icon, Switch setting

Maybe I'm late to finding this, at the bottom of Sound and Vibration settings... I like it a lot....
