When does pre-order end for samsung direct or the carriers... it is up to official release date?

Someone told me you check out with paypal to get the $50 is it a paypal thing or Samsung? I tired to google it and said with a paypal mastercard. I was trying to see if I qualified and maybe cancel and re-order and than switch to the pink phone but it my be to much trouble.

It doesnt have to be a PayPal credit card to get the 50...just use PayPal to checkout with the code and any method of payment through PayPal.

Wow Samsung photos on the S26 Ultra is horrible look at it first photo is Samsung washed out and second is Oppo Find X9 Pro which looks Outstanding.

It's subjective. To me the Samsung is better because it's not crushing the details in the dark areas like his hair and shirt.

Got to disagree, but everyone has different opinions so i respect your choice, but like i said even in YouTube says worse camera ever , other phones camera is better even the S22, S23, S24 Ultra camera is better

It could be due to auto lens switching.

By default, the camera uses a main lens and crops for a lower overall quality and resolution shot rather than using the smaller 10MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) lens.

I always disable that "feature" via the Samsung Camera Assistant app. You can also manually select to shoot with the telephoto lens.

Have to disagree.... The S26U is using the new Sony camera sensor. It will be better than past models. The S26U is a quite a good upgrade from the S25U. Faster processor with better power saving feature. Privacy screen and more integrated AI features that come only on the S26U.
I get that not everyone has to upgrade every year. If the phone you have suits your needs, then stay put and don't upgrade.
Then there are some who just don't like Samsung phones and that is great....to each his own. Use what works for you.

But then why come into the Samsung threads and throw shade at Samsung phones if you admittedly don't use Samsung phones?
Be happy with what you have and let others enjoy what they have....

I didn't know Samsung went to Sony for the camera sensor. I seen apple is not using Sony now and going to use Samsung's. I thought that was mistake on Apple's part. Are you sure Samsung is changing to Sony camera sensor?

I think you are right...the Sony sensor is just for the front camera.

Well I'm good now called back Samsung and was going to cancel and start over. I had called PayPal yesterday cuz I didn't know if it was a PayPal or Samsung thing. And I kept telling her about I didn't get my $30 reserve but they gave me a promo code and I wished it would have gotten taken off my card and then I mentioned about the 50 and she put me on hold and came back. She kept saying she was going to give me a $30 promo code I said no I already got that. She goes oh well you're a loyal customer I can credit your card back $80 instead I said okay that would be great. That covers the 30 I never got and the 50 I would get if I cancelled and started over which really would of been to much of a hassle. And I was watching an unboxing by Saki and the purple in his video did look nice.

Well they got me today. Going back to the ultra after having the orange 512gb s24+. The plus has been nice but im excited to return to the best camera.

So from recent reviews.....the F1.4 lens still takes crappy night pictures compared to iPhone and anti-glare coating is not as good as on S25U. At this point I am just wondering if spending $135 bucks is worth it or just keep using my Pixel 9 Pro

Yeah, but I think with the addition of the 60A charging, it gives the S26 an added advantage, even though the battery stayed the same, It's just to bad that the rumor mill made it sound like we may be getting a 5300 mAh! (I forget which leaker said that now). I swore I was sticking with my S25U and would NOT bite! I went to the "Galaxy Unpacked Livestream", watched the entire thing... ...it's on it's way (Silver Shadow, 512MB/12Mb w/Black Buds 4 Pro) - I'm such a Pushover!!! Actually, I liked the changes to the lenses, camera software, the privacy screen AND the Processor Speed! (I actually felt that my Note 20 camera gave me better pics than my S25U... may be me, but I loved that camera)! Stepping down off soapbox...
