Been using Honor 8 almost 2yr what to do Honor 9 not in USA do we get another Honor 8 I love this phone Will it be to slow 2yrs from now

No one really knows yet. We're hoping the honor 9 or even the honor 8 pro come stateside soon. I think we'll hear more early next year. The honor 8 didn't sell as well as they expected so they may be reevaluateing their US plans.

The phone came out a little over a year ago and is still zippy as ever. your battery will probably start to show signs of wear and tear after 2 years of use but the phone should be more than serviceable for a long time to come.

If performance is good at near the two year mark then it should be good for 2 more years. Of course you can never know when there can be a problem with the phone... But I don't see it slowing down for you

If your Honor 8 is still performing well after two years, that's a good sign for longevity. As others have said, you may notice a drop in battery performance; nd maybe even some lag. But if you take good care of your phone and it is still performing well now, hopefully it continues to work well for you!

Hopefully we'll get more info about upcoming Honor releases in the States. It's saddening that such a great line may not be available for us to buy in the States! But who knows, maybe we'll get a nice surprise!

I've owned the honor 8 twice and on Saturday when my new one arrives it will be my third time owning it. I seem to always come back to the honor 8. It's the best flagship type device for the money hands down.

I do however think the honor 8 did pretty well here in the US and my newest prediction is that we won't see the honor 9 but rather we will see the honor 8 pro as the next honor US release just because the honor 8 is so widely known here in the US.

My first honor 8 I used for about 5 or 6 months which of course is a long time for me as I go through tons of phones but I find myself always coming back to my favorite phone all time which is the honor 8. However on my first honor 8 that I used for a long while I developed a software issue in regard to charging it or I would have kept it even longer than I did. It gave me a reason to sell it on Craigslist and begin to buy other new phones to test out. Hopefully I won't ever get that software glitch again with the one I've got coming that is to arrive on Saturday as I plan to pretty much stop testing new gear out and sticking with the honor 8 has my daily driver again long term or until honor releases their next US device which I believe will be the honor 8 pro for some reason. Just a gut feeling. We won't ever see the honor 9 unfortunately so I personally can't wait until Huawei Honor officially enters in to the US full blown which is probably two years out as they've said that their plan is to enter the US market once 5g is out and going strong. It'll be very nice to finally have options on both honor devices and Huawei devices which I'm probably sticking with the honor devices because the honor 8 is hardly short of any other flagship out today. It's just that good. I'm definitely curious of what honor device we will see next which my prediction will be in early December before Christmas sales. I'm thinking the honor 8 pro for some reason but never the less we will soon get another honor US release within the next 2 to 5 months which are my thoughts. The honor 8 is already so widely known here in the US it just makes sense for them to keep on with the same name but release the pro model of the honor 8 next. What are you guys thoughts?

It really is anybody's guess. I don't think an answer is coming this your though. Hopefully early 2018

It doesn't really make sense for you to upgrade your honor 8 to the honor 8 pro as the honor 8 is a small device at 5.2",and you said previously that you even wanted to go smaller to the honor 9 at 5. 15". In contrast, the honor 8 pro is 5.7". That's a pretty big jump.

He could keep both. Honor 8 as a daily driver and the pro for media consumption maybe.

Well luckily you don't have to choose yet cause we have no idea what coming stateside anytime soon ;)

Yeah that's very true but if I had to choose it would be the honor 8 pro. I wouldn't mind having that phone at 5.7 inch screen size.
So you would keep the honor 8 and honor 8 pro at the same time, if it was released in the usa?

Yeah I would definitely use them in rotation as I could never use a 5.7 inch device as my daily driver. It's too big. It's great however for media and movies and such. When I had my 6p I loved that phone for media use. So I'd definitely keep both phones to rotate out. It would work out perfectly and if my prediction comes true I'll get one if they release it here in the US.

Ah ok. It seems a bit waste to me but hey, so long as you are happy
