How many are with the S8 series for the long haul?

I'm good with my S8+ for a good while. It has enough internal storage + external storage to last me for a good few years. I don't see myself getting a new one. This one will do right by me.

Will probably wait till s9. Got to wait till the phone is half paid off before I can switch. I don't see myself switching to another brand as I feel I have become too invested in samsung. I have been customizing a lot over the last 3 months and I'm assuming all my backups (macrodroid, nova launcher, sound profile, samsung backup) will be restored smoothly on the s9. I wouldn't expect the same if I were to switch to a different phone maker.

Ive had mine for 3 days and I am ridiculously happy with this phone. I will have it a minimum of 12 months.

I am vert happy with my S8+ and I am not looking to replace it anytime soon. Having said that, I do know me and the minute the Note 8 comes out, I will be first in line. It always works that way for me

This. Me.

At this point I'm just trying to stick with any phone for more than 6 to 11months. I've been switching phones like crazy since the S 5. Lol Hopefully I can hold on to this one at least until the S 9 or note 9. I'm going to have to hide from the note 8 threads. Lol

It's sooo hard! Android is the worst platform in that everytime you get the greatest and latest, another comes along right at the back of it. At least there's only 1 iPhone release per year (2 if you count the plus model separately).
Being forum members doesn't help either because there's no escaping it all

I have a S8+ and an iPhone 7+. I'm dying to try a Blackberry KeyOne. 😐

I won't be able to escape it, but this time I have to try to ignore the temptation . Having a phone addiction is expensive. Lol

Currently with the S8+ but will be getting the Note 8. S8+ will become my backup phone. Really like my S8+ though. One of the best smartphones I've ever owned.

I've never liked the size of the Note phones for my own use. I have gotten the "normal" S8 and S7 models. So I will probably stick with my S8 until the S9 comes out. I may consider what other manufacturers put out. But it would be around that same time-- roughly a year from now.

I'm on the Verizon payment thing where once I pay off 50% on a phone, I can get a new phone with a new set of payments and turn in the old phone. That's what I did with my S7 to S8 purchase. That 50% that would be left to pay off to own the phone tends to be roughly equal to what I could sell it for. So when it works out like that, I think it's a good deal to just do the upgrade. I have an S6 as a backup phone, so I don't really need to keep anything else that I'm not currently using.

I am in it for the long haul, I dumped my load into it so-to-speak. I would like to change companies after all the issues I have been having with Samsung support and Sprint with getting my S8+ fixed and working as advertised.

I truly love the phone but Samsung refuses to help with getting it fixed or replaced. Samsung has also made it clear that it's such a big company now that a few hundred people that abandon them for other companies, don't bother them. I mean why not honor the promotions you held or help those people with legitimate issues?

I may take one of the phones my brother's family has when they go to upgrade at the end of the year.
I'm with you on dumping Sprint. I actually just signed up with them last week and it's been a nightmare. There is a HUGE reason they are dead last and number 4 and they will indeed stay that way. I'm even thinking about returning my two orders and canceling my services with Sprint. What I've gone through so far has not been worth it at all even if I did get two good very low down payments. As far as the S8 goes I love the phone but I hate sprint worse. This means I would give up my S8 to rid myself of the crooked number 4 dead on the last of the list company. The S8 is great but I cringe when I turn it on and see the big Sprint screen pop up. I won't go into full details on how crooked they are but their business ethics are mudh like a car dealership. By the way car dealerships are the most crooked industry left in the US and sprint ranks up there with them. So I love my S8 but if it means I have to give it up to rid myself of sprint before my 14 days is up I will do so.

The S8+ (and previously the S7 Edge) is just a stopover between the Note 7 and Note 8. I've been a Note person since the Note 2.

I always hope to keep my phone for a year but I never do. I'm usually good for about 6 to 8 months. I don't think I'll get a Note 8 but I am very curious about the LG V30. Hopefully I can hold out until the S9+ but I won't count on it. Lol

I love the fps location. It appears that is a love or hate thing.

I hated it at first but now it doesn't bother me at all. I still think LG has better placement for the FPS. I had a V20 before and thought that was perfect.

Wow, I never knew Sprint was so bad. What problems are you having with them? I have AT&T and while they are expensive, I have always had pleasant experiences with people in person and over the phone when I needed help. T-Mobile seems to be the best but the coverage needs to step up in my area before I would consider switching. I don't even think there is a T-Mobile retail store in my entire state. Lol

I have enjoyed it but I am thinking of picking up a LG G6. I am starting to get annoyed by the curved edges. Lol

The G6 is a phenomenal phone. I had one up until a a week or so ago. One of my employees had some stuff stolen, including his phone, so I gave him my G6. I see it everyday and keep considering getting another one.

That is good. I have never had an LG phone so I am kind of worried but the glare from the edge of my S8+ is annoying. I have to turn the phone to see things alone the edge and it drives me crazy. Lol

Yeah I have the same problem. The G6 was also my first LG and I was really impressed. The only reason I gave him the G6 and not the S8 was Samsung pay. Im way too invested in it at this point to give it up...

At least until I use all my points lol.
