Android Central Question

Is there any OS or hardware specific limit? In my knowledge, Bluetooth (BLE) 4.1+ may connect and communicate with 7 devices at the same time.

Sorry for not expressing my question clearly enough, but then I may take the opportunity to ask a broader question if you don't mind.

Let the subject of the question include Google Wear OS (previously known as Android Wear) and Samsung Gear line (Tizen OS) as well. In general are there any limitations to these operating systems or the Bluetooth module these devices use?

Are there any evidence that these devices or OS' can connect and communicate to more then 2 devices at the same time? (I have found none so far, but the theory is interesting for me as well. That might just lure me to a PoC.)

The maximum number of devices is very high (> 100), but in the real world more than 3 devices 'at same time' can consume the battery very fast and make any application relying on it fails.
