How many of you actually use "always listening"?

Simple question for you moto X users out there. I would like to know HONESTLY how often you use "always listening" on the moto x. Torn between selling my nexus 5 and getting a moto X or sticking with the nexus 5. I could see myself using it, but definitely not all the time. I know my situation is different than others but i'm just curious whether or not people actually use this feature, or is it more like a one time thing, than rarely used so after.

I use it every morning as I get ready for work. I ask for the temperature or forecast so I can figure out what to wear. I'm always in a rush in the morning, so I just ask my phone quickly in the morning while I'm getting ready.

I bought my brother a Moto X a little while ago. This weekend his wife was complaining to me that he talks to it all the time like there's another person in the house. Not sure if that's because of Touchless Control or if he's just vocally professing his love for a decidedly awesome little phone.

ok i figure in the morning that it could be relatively useful, opposed to like me having to wake up my laptop and actually search for the stuff i need. but what about during the day? like do you openly say out in public like" ok google. send -so and so- a message...blahblahblahblahblah"?

It's just a method of activating Google Now without actually touching your phone. Do you already use Google Now? If not, then maybe it won't make a difference to you.

No one can tell you how you're going to use your phone, and I promise the people in Starbucks don't care.

Side note: Might be best to avoid using that SMS feature for things like "Okay Google Now, send a text to Karen that says 'I got a cream for it but the doctor says you should probably get checked too.'"

I use it in my car 3 to 4 times/day to call, send texts, listen to incoming texts etc. Would be nice if it can send the text without intervention

I use it maybe twice a week. Usually if I'm in the car and want to search something or play a song or get directions.

interesting. i really only use google now for the weather and to see what traffic is like for getting up to campus. but other then that i'm not really tied much to google now. yea i figured that most people wouldnt use the sms feature in public and that made me think twice about getting the phone.

I use it for calls while I'm at work. The phone is n a holder in my car so I can make calls w out touching the phone. I check weather and stuff, but the main thing is it makes phone calls easy.

I won't tell you which phone to get, I have the maxx which is basically a moto x w a bigger battery and screen.. I will say the x8 system is great

I use it pretty much throughout my day in car, at home and at work ( i have my private office) ,use it for playing music, asking quick questions , checking stock prices ,
Asking for navigation / directions , calling, settings reminders and alarms,checking for my next appointment, checking weather ....so basically I can't see myself using a phone without touch less controls ..its really use full ..and the best part is it works very consistently ..

I use it every morning and every night. Just like what most have already said. I use it to set alarms and check the weather. I'm always busy and on the run so the "find my phone" is a necessity for me. I also use it a lot to set reminders while I'm at work.

I just use it in the car, get directions, occasionally I use the "what song is this?" and sometimes when I feel like hearing my own music instead of the radio I use touchless control.

I also use mine every morning to check the weather and if I'm feeling too lazy to get the phone to ask it what time it is. I also tend to lose my phone in the same room of the house a lot, so yelling at it to find my phone comes in handy.

In the morning for weather, and to open "show current traffic" usually opens map app. I send messages to my wife throughout the day with it. I have it open and play albums using google music (subscribed to the service). Football/baseball scores, schedules. Local events near my job (I work in a casino, this is useful). The more I use it, the more it becomes an assistant. OK, I'll admit, it's getting weird.

I manage 20 athletes and my inbox buzzes all day. In the car with touchless controls I can listen to incoming texts, reply and initiate phone calls while its in the mount without having to take my eyes off the road. I love this phone.

Its the most used feature for me besides active notification.
