I am trying to get a sense of how wide spread the reboot issue is. Please type 'yes' if your Samsung S8 has randomly rebooted at least once.

Yup. at least once every day. Its the reason i returned it and went back to the g6. Good riddance!

Instead of asking people to type "yes", this thread should be a poll thread.

My first S8+ crashed and restarted a couple of times in the first week, so I exchanged it for another one at Best Buy. I've had the new one for a couple of weeks with no crashes.

Some people report that the problem is tied to putting apps on the SD card rather than using only internal storage. On both S8+s, I had apps on the same SD card, the 256 GB card that came with the Note 7 last year. I've had no crashes using that card with the Note 7, S7e, or my second S8+.

I'm not having this issue at the moment thankfully. I wonder if it could be a chip issue as some use snapdragon and others Samsung processors? Would be useful to say where folks are from? I'm in the uk, so far no issues....also not using a memory card in it.

How do I create a poll. That would be very useful.

I had this issue with my S7 last year. I sucks I was forced to return it along with the extras. I wanted to exchange it.

Haven't has this issue pop up once. I recently bought a Samsung Evo + 256GB memory card; I had the Samsung Pro+ 128GB with the S7 Edge and the first week and a half with my S8+. I don't put apps in my SD card because it for annoying having to manually put them back after every app update (back when in had the S7 Edge), so the only things I keep on my SD card are my entire music collection, pictures, and videos. Haven't had a problem once with either SD card.

I spoke too soon. My second S8+ just crashed and rebooted itself for the first time.

As with my first S8+, the crash seemed to occur just as I tried to use the iris scanner and the scanner failed. I'd had a few previous scanner failures (on both S8+s) that required a manual reboot to fix.

I have had the issue on my s8+ since I put the 256gb sd card that came from the immersive bundle into the phone and put the apps on it.

I haven't experienced the continuous reboots that many are reporting, I haven't even had it restart while in use. But what I HAVE experienced is going to use my phone and noticing that it's all of the sudden turned off and the only way to turn it back on was by holding down the volume button and power button together. That counts as a reboot issue I'd say.
