Launch day Evo here. No problems or issues at all. This is actually the first phone that I have owned where I am still satisfied after six months. Unless something really cool is announced at CES, I probably won't be looking for a new phone come June.

Got my EVO the day after the initial release and have not had a single issue with it.
I have had it rooted a couple times but do not at this time.
I love it and will not replace it until HTC comes out with a new
Bad ass phone with same size screen!

Ahhaahhh what ever guys lol I couldn't afford a evo when it came out buy just had the white on I was in evo deal heaven lol when I got mine for 161.00 at radio shack but when rooting a week ago I broke that so I got a black one hey hey nothing wrong with black but white was so clean and flashy without a case but I never had a rattle noise with my white or black I heard it was the mechanism in the cameras we have and a lot of people where also hearing it but it could also be the headphone jack gets loose and some one used a piece of plastic zip tie and its stopped the noise but I love my rooted evo I have the battery trickle now only till I get the extend battery lol sorry for the long ranting haha just have so much to answer instead of a bunch of posts

Google I/O (late May) phone- it's just like new. Body Glove hard case probably helped, it's been dropped a few times.

We are not talking about a Pre here where you are expected to have more than one. Three days shy of seven months and looking and running beautifully as a phone should...I wouldn't expect anything less.

Ya I actually was looking at my status I have the optimus s as a backup tinker phone I super hooked that little bad boy up but I just got my evo a week and a half ago I had the white one but I broke that one trying to root when there really wasn't a clear cut guide for the new hboots so I went and got a black one but ya the optimus and having a evo is sweet but you can't take away my evo Hehe but I'm thinking of selling my optimus s soon but I don't want to much for it but I got and invisible shield on it and a 8gb sdcard and I have the a2sd hack so the phone runs like butter lol but if your want one of the optimus s's hit me up that's if you don't have a evo or if its for personal or for someone you know its a great phone just keep picking up the evo more ;-) and its really hooked up cool looking

Got mine is the beginning of July, and even though it's not as shiny as the day I got it, and even though the H and T on the battery cover popped off due to multiple battery changes on a daily basis, the screen is pristine and I've had no issues with the phone (and I don't even use a case). I did have a problem with programs locking up and requiring battery pulls for a week, but it turned out the SD card had a data error and a scandisk performed while tethered from the PC cleared it right up.

However, I got a Galaxy Tab last month and now the Evo is collecting dust. I only use it for voice and messaging or when the Tab is charging, and I've only done a couple of battery swaps in the past month.
