How many people leave phone on 4g?

On all the time. I get a day, sometimes a day and a half, out of it, and am near a charger all day, so it's not an issue for me.

On 4G for 90% of the day and can go 14-18 hours without problems on the stock battery.

This...

The same for me... Do people STILL really have battery issues??... If so that sucks.

4G exclusively... except this past weekend when I traveled north into a non-4G area, and I used LTE OnOff for the first time ever... wow, fantastic battery life on 3G... now I'm thinking about using it a little more often, but only if I really need good battery life... otherwise my Tbolt is plugged in 50% of the day.

4G all day/all night....battery sucks but that's why it comes with a charger - keep one at work so no problems

I leave 4g on all the time, even at home where I have wifi. 4g is faster than my wifi and I can always plug in to a charger if need be.

Thunderbolt HO!!!!

4G is faster than your home WiFi? Wow, you might want to look into upgrading your home WiFi.

What is you 4G home speed?

My home 4G is only 5-5.5m down and about 2-3.5 up - My WiFi is 25-30 down and 4-5 up (could go to 50 down, but don't want to pay the extra $$)

I leave mine on 3G unless I need it, and I rarely need it. I do it because of the frequent data outages on 4G and because my phone often goes wild and starts drawing 250-300 mA continuously from the battery even when it's idle on 4G. This never happens on 3G, so that's where I keep it.

I'm on 4g all the time. I never turn on WiFi. I get ~15 - 20 mbps down with 4g, and 10 mbps up. Much faster than my home DSL.

The consequence of this is that I've used 18 gb of data over 17 days. :D

My 4g is quicker than my home WiFi network... most DSL connections max out at 6mbps AFAIK, and the 4g LTE (at least for me) is much quicker than that at home. At this point, makes no sense for me to pay more $$$ for a 30 mbps or 50 mbps cable connection/fiber optic line. When tethering, 1080p videos stream like water out of an open faucet.

I used to have Wifi on at home but stopped doing that. I haven't really seen a difference in battery life. I have a solid 4G connection at home and work so it's never an issue.

always on 4G here... I mean that is the reason we got this phone, right?

Not me. I was sick of my Droid's 256MB of RAM, so I went with the phone that had the most RAM at the time. 4G was just a perk. I certainly don't need 4G for background data for email and such, or for maps, or facebook, or really for browsing. Browsing seems pretty fast in 3G and I don't see that much, if any difference with 4G. When I truly care, which is rare, I can turn 4G on. Like yesterday, when I was trying to watch a movie trailer that 3G couldn't keep up with.

I just don't seem much benefit with 4G for 95% of the stuff I do with my phone. For the other 5%, I can turn it on if I really care.

I turn mobile data off when I am not using it ( when i am at work). I never use 3g because I don't think the switches work that great, sometimes it did but not often. I do leave auto sync on, but that's why I turn data off when at work. At home I am always on

it's to bad we have to do all this to have th tb on 4g.extra battery, large battery, charger every were we go.Not a good thing, an not advertise to have to do all this..:'(

Unfortunately I have 4G turned off most of the time. I had been keeping it on all the time for a while, but sometime around that last update a few weeks back I started having issues where I couldn't get past 2pm without the phone dying, no matter how little I used it, and how many tweaks I tried. The only answer was to turn off 4G unless I'm d/l something or plugged-in.

4G almost all of the time.

I keep mine on 4G almost all of the time. The only time I don't is if 4G stops working and that only happens when I'm at home - although for some reason 4G has been working much better at my home recently. It used to be that I could never get 4G at home, but now I can get it most of the time. Anyway, I bought this phone so that I could get 4G, so I'm not interested in operating it in 3G. 4G loads web pages substantially faster in most everything I do and it makes a huge difference on certain websites that I use that have large and/or complex graphics.

As far 4G battery life goes, I bought the extended battery a few weeks ago and that made a big difference. So far, I have been able to make it through the day without hooking up to the charger. At first I didn't like the additional size and weight the extended battery added, but within a few hours I became accustomed to it and now it feels just fine. I can actually get a better grip on this beast with the extended battery.
