Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (I know, a little behind the times!) and a PC. We're on a fairly limited data usage contract with EE. I just would like to know how much of the data usage it takes to listen to music online or to look at YouTube videos. I rarely download anything, so we've been safe so far. However, I've just discovered some videos (YouTube) and online radio stations. And family keeps telling us we should get Netflix and the Amazon Prime Videos (via the Fire stick), so I'd really like to know if it's possible. Thanks for any information.

YouTube uses a lot of data, far more than could be comfortably accommodated by a 1gb monthly allowance say, unless you were to watch it for no more than a minute or two here and there.

Dropping the resolution helps this tremendously. I often watch in 360p, and the loss of detail is negligible on a phone. If I'm listening to music on YouTube, I'll drop it to the minimum 144p because who cares about a static image when I'm not even looking at it. It's still more than a music only streaming service, but an improvement over HD viewing.
