I plan on getting a Droid Incredible this week. I wanted to find out how much everyone pays each month. I'm doing a pretty basic plan.

450 Minutes
+ Unlimited Text and Data
+ No insurance (may add this. how much is it? Can someone explain the differences between the 3-4 different insurance/warranty plans verizon has?)
+ 19% off student discount

$78 total.

Is that what most people? Seems somewhat expensive.

about $200

Do you folks know if the "primary" person on the family plan has to be the student in order to be eligible for the discount??? I am primary on our family plan and my gf is still in college but I am not so I was wondering if our plan would be eligible for this discount..?

Oh yeah:

I know alot of people are feeling like they are being overcharged but I figure it this way, I have had verizon for over 4yrs now, traveled all over the US (including through mountains and many unpopulated forest regions) and have NEVER lost a call and only been in roaming twice. In my opinion the little bit extra I pay is well worth the excellent customer service, great reception and fast data speeds I always have regardless to where I am at. At&T charges less because it's "3G" network is only fast if you can actually stay connected to it for more than 5 minutes without going into EDGE, their service is piss poor as well. I won't even get into T-Mobile or Sprint. Bottomline, you are getting what you pay for with Verizon.

Tax,tag, and title I pay about $140 a month! I don't feel it's too bad for the quality of service I'm getting and having two Android phones with all the bells and whistles. Been with Verizon for about 6 year after leaving 'Cingular' now AT&T with horrific service and customer support.

So basically I agree with this guy:
