How much is insurance worth to you?

When I got my last HTC through a carrier, uh oh was included. So, I'd say 'yes', though the carriers still need to make their announcements.

As long as you purchase through the proper channels uh oh should be offered by HTC. So far AT&T may be the only US carrier not to carry the device.

Just read that it will be available at AT&T in a couple of weeks.

If only a year of protection (for screen or water damage) with one replacement, $50 to $70 with no deductible sounds reasonable.

I've used Squaretrade a few times already for previous phones, worth the $120 for 2 years with a $75 deductible up to 2 times. I guess it can be seen as almost $200 for the first replacement and $75 for the second, OR they give you the full price of the phone $599 or $699 for the htc 10 to buy a new one.

Or you can pay $15 for a case and $10 for a glass screen protector lol.

To me, you have to break your phone an awful lot to make insurance worth it. I just got my M8 screen replaced at UBREAKIFIX for $125. It was done in like 3 hours. With Squaretrade it would have cost me 120 + 75 = 195. For 2 breaks it would be 195 + 75 = 270. Without insurance it would cost me 250. On the 3rd break you would be paying 270 + 75 = 345. I would be paying 375 (125 X 3). So only after 3 breaks would the insurance even start to pay off. I have owned smart phones since 2010 and have only had one cracked screen. So I guess I don't see the point. Plus I'm guessing with insurance they make you mail the phone somewhere to be repaired which is a hassle. I can drop it off at a shop a couple miles from my house and pick it up in a couple hours.
