How often do you charge your S6?

I plug it in at night before I got to bed and unplug when I leave for work in the morning; same as I've done for every other smartphone I've owned. Once I get a wireless charging pad I will be able to do top offs at work if need be.

I just got my Samsung S6 yesterday. I've had it for less than 24 hours and I have already charged three times. I'm surprised most of you just charge it once a day.

I initially had it with 50% battery. I first charged it to 100% at 10PM. It went down to 30% at 2AM. Then, I charged it again. Started using it again from 10am-4:20 PM with 9% battery left. I'm not sure if it's normal. But I use it mostly for browsing through social media. When I turn on the Wi-fi, there's an apparent 2-3% decrease in battery in less than 10min. I've seen reviews state that samsung s6 battery life drains fast but I didn't expect it to drain this fast. Though, I must say, the charging time is pretty impressive.

But I'd like to ask, should I ask for a replacement unit or is there anything I can do to preserve battery life?

Read around for a few tips you can try to save some battery life. With that said, with your phone being that new, the battery life will get better some with just time. Your phone has been doing a lot of background work with it being a newly set up device. Updating, syncing, and etc.

I charge mine when it needs it. Usually for about an hour before I go to bed daily if I'm at my house. When I stay with my gf, it's every other day I have to charge it. (I've got really poor service at my house)

I'm up at 6 with 100% after leaving it on charge all night. I need to place it on charge to extend it a little around 4 to help me get through to the end of my day at 9. So throughout the day just the once, which usually gets me from around 40% to near 100% in the 50 minute break I have. I mean overall I can't really moan about the battery it does the job and it's worth it to have an amazing phone 😊

Nightly charge as well whether it needs it or not. Holdover from my RIM days.

I'm having the same issue with my S6. So much so that I can't use it as my main phone on days I know I'll be away from a charger. I'm a fairly light user, and I've already tried all of the tips to maximize battery life. I'm still getting around 8 hours on a single charge with like 90 minutes of SOT. I have to charge it at least twice daily.

Like the majority of folks, I plug mine in at night. I also have a wireless charger at work so I set it on there throughout the day.
