How often do you switch phones. I always like to try out the newest phones so I try to keep my phones in good condition so I can get new ones. How about you?

Well I have 15 phones on my google account listed. I sometimes change 3 times in a year, sometimes I will go longer than a year. I never go longer than that though.

I was always on 2 year contracts until I got BB Curve. A year later I got a BB Style, then an Epic 4g touch. After that came a N3, 1year later, N4, 10 months later N5.

15 wow! I only have my one phone I usually can get may one every 12 to 14 months depending on who I speak to at sprint. I would love to be able to switch phones just to try out the new tech. The can be expensive though.

Oh I'm not using all of those and don't have all of those still. If you go to your google dashboard on the web, it lists all phones you have connected to google. They never go away..

I change phones constantly if the price is right and I get the most out of trade.

I usually switch phones every 12 to 18 months. I also never buy phones above $150 unlocked.

So do you get the phones from the carrier or ebay amazon ect. Then how do you activate those unlocked phones

Myself I always buy new and I resell my phones. I also usually get a good deal. The N5 is the first phone I have bought at release and the most I've paid for a phone. With contracts and numbers on your account that use their own phone, you could always cross upgrade and get good deals.

For example.. I got my S3 for $30, my N2 for $85, my N3 was free, my S5 was $1, my N4 was $200. Each phone was sold for well over what I paid for it.

I still have my s5 but leased the n5. With resale do I just factory reset and sell as clean esn but not unlocked? or unlock the phone(dont know how)?

It is best to get it unlocked from the carrier before selling. I always reset the phone and list it as unlocked.

I guess it depends on the phone. When I had the LG Motion, for instance, I didn't want for anything else :) (for a while at least). Other phones would leave me regretting my choice. I try to make phone choices that will not only meet my needs but also keep me satisfied for a while. There will always be something bigger and better, but finding something that meets my needs will keep me happy for a while - no matter how 'out of date' it may be in the world of smartphones.

About every 4 to 6 weeks, about 15 phones in the past year (with some repeats). Although I'm slowing down now and hoping to stick with the Moto X pure edition once it arrives.

I try to switch every year (and a bit) to every year and a half, depending on the condition of my device (ie, since the battery on my BlackBerry Bold 9780 was dying, it prompted a sooner and more necessary switch); and also depending on the phones available for a good price on the market.

Last phone lasted for two and a half years. It was a Lumia 620, bought the day it was released in my country, lol it cost about $350 (310 euro). Now I have another phone, bought another time the day it was released for about $230 (€199). I use my phones for a long time, it's not weird at all to own a phone for a long long time in Europe, weird is to change more than once in a year. I expect to change my phone about mid-2017 or later.

I'm on my 4th new phone this year and that isn't normal for me.1 or 2 is more the norm. I too try to find the best phone for my taste and needs. I am on the Note 5 now and really am enjoying it. I believe this phone will last me for a while, but if something goes screwy that I can't resolve I have no issues getting another one that isn't a lemon. Fingers crossed that stays solid.

Ok, after having said all that, I bought a new phone last week after having my previous phone for 6 months. I plan to hold on to this one for a while....we'll see how long that goes :D
