Yeah, I started with a Motorola beeper and as soon as the first cell phone came out I got it.... It was the big Motorola that was nicked named the brick......

Keep seeing kids age 13 rocking iPhones everywhere! It's unbelievable! Seriously.. spoilt brats!

Tell us your age you got your S4

Just curious.

Its easy when Apple gives the iP4 away for $99. It gets the kids off their parents backs, shuts them up for a few hours and allows them to be tracked by carrier related software.

I am 63 and have been blessed during life for the most part. I survived Vietnam and movies I took during combat have been in 3 documentaries. Bought a IMSA 8080 in 1977 before Apple or IBM delivered their PC's. Had one of the first Motorola portable cell phones back in 1983. My daughter was Miss USA. Trump uses the line I gave him, "You're Fired" in 1999 when he asked me what I said to my daughter when her Miss USA year was over. I was a keynote speaker at the Microsoft Global Summit in 1995. Have 2.4 million YouTube Views. Have been married to my wife for 29 years and live on the ocean.

Got my S4 about 3 weeks ago and love it. Added it to my Asus Transformer 700T and my Asus G75VX laptop (16gb RAM, 3gb Video, 750HD & 256gb SSD) Smokin hot!

Well heck, I'll bump the average up slightly. I'm 59 years young. Next year I start counting backwards.

Ok I'll play. 46
And I went to school for Computer Science. Remember Cobal, Fortran, and Pascal? Right! No one else does either...

I used to program in COBOL.... never in Fortran or Pascal always thought they were more complicated ...

I learned Fortran in school, but never used it in practice. I did program in COBOL and Pascal. I even know what COBOL stands for, and who Pascal was named after. The first programming I did, i school, was actually machine language. Yep, 1's and 0's. Gave one a real good understanding of what actually happened inside the box.

IPhone 4 should be free since release of the iPhone 5.

If money is an issue, you can wait for a deal, which may require a bit of work, so may not be worth it for everyone. For example, you could have gotten the note 2 for $50 on contract a few months back. You can get the One for free with trade in.

I'm 14 and I'm hoping to buy either the One or the S4 soon. I've just got a job so I'll be using my own money with no help from my parents. This'll be my first phone. My friends that have smarthphones, almost all have iPhones with a Samsung or two.

A job at 14? where?

I am 30 just got my S4 on Friday. I was 21 when I got my first cell phone in 2004. It was a Samsung Pre-paid Tmobile phone from 7-11.

Edit: More of my cell phone history

So then my husband had a Virgin Mobile phone for a while then we just let it go and didnt top it up anymore in like 2005. Didn't get another cell phone until 2009. We both got the LG Xenon and it was pure crap.
After a few replacements AT&T let me get the Samsung Impression. Sold it on Ebay and got a BB Bold 9000 and the hubby had the 8310. Had that for a while and then upgraded to the Torch. Then I was done with BB and got the Skyrocket then the S3 and now the S4.

First smart phone was the original iPhone on AT&T. Camped out in front of my local Apple store, paid a ridiculous amount of money for it, just turned 19. Had a Moto Razr that fell out of my pocket when I was riding my crotch rocket and the afternoon traffic flattened it to a pancake. Haven't looked back since.

EDIT: Was looking through my old pics and found this extremely lame self shot I was taking to show a friend of mine the industrial piercing I just had done. And guess what I used to take it ;) Please, for the love of Science, don't rag on me too much. I was only a boy :(

I'm in Australia. The usual minimum age is 14 and 9 months but some employers can employ 14+ teens. I work at a local pharmacy as an assistant/cleaner. I should be able to afford a phone in a few months :-)
