Word has it that the base and + of S26 series will have the exynos processor 2600.

Just want to know how powerful this chipset is exactly because I'm planning to pre-order the S26 and depending on this I might go for the Ultra because of the gen 5 processor if its the only one that ends up with that chip.

How do you quantify a chips strength and power without being able to run it and test it against other chips? Real question, cause I don't know. I plugged your question in to Google and got the following reply.

Early benchmarks and leaks suggest the Exynos 2600 is a powerhouse, potentially closing the gap with Qualcomm more than any previous generation. It is rumored to be the world's first 2nm mobile processor.

Performance vs. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
According to leaked benchmarks and internal testing, here is how the Exynos 2600 stacks up:

  • Raw CPU Power: Early Geekbench leaks show it scoring around 3,500 single-core and 11,500 multi-core points. While this beats the "standard" Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, it slightly trails the higher-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (rumored for the Ultra), which hits roughly 3,800/12,100.
  • Graphics & Gaming: The new
    Xclipse 960 GPU
reportedly offers a 29% performance lead over the
    Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
and up to double the performance of the previous Exynos generation.
  • AI Prowess: This is the chip's biggest claim, with Samsung reporting a 113% boost in AI performance over its predecessor and a 30% advantage over Qualcomm's flagship AI engine.
  • Heat Management: To address past issues, the Exynos 2600 introduces a Heat Path Block (HPB) technology to move heat away from the core faster during intense gaming.
There was a bit more if you wanted to go look for yourself. I just copied and pasted your whole comment in a Google search bar. There is already a thread posted asking who is waiting for the S26, maybe pop over there and see what others are talking about, and post something of your own. Here is a link to that thread.

Personally I'm only interested in the Ultra and only if they bring back the BT SPen. All of the other specs are things that really don't matter in my day to day. Speed and all of that is fast that I really doubt I would notice a few milli-seconds difference or a slightly slower animation. Will it multi task, you bet. Will it run all of the apps I need, yup. Will have the functionality I want, well we won't know til someone starts talking about the features I'm interested in. Like whether or not the SPen will have BT. Not going to lie though, I really want that new screen with the privacy built in. Not because I want to hide anything, expressly, but because I would like the option to make my screen a little more private when I want or if it should come up, I need to.

Hope to see you over at the other thread. Let us know if this makes you want the phone.
