How risky will it be to update to ICS right away?

Did the manual update and it's working great. No complaints at all.

I thought about manually installing the ICS update but I looked at the many posted problems albeit small but problems nonetheless I will wait for it to come to my phone and hope by the time it comes to my phone the bugs will be out or limited/ or another (patch) update will follow on the heels of the first one

The manual update is exactly the same as the OTA since the link is grabbed directly from the OTA update. I did the manual update and I don't have any issues so far.
