How secure is S6 now that Google no longer updates its OS?

I know S6 is basically obsolete.

But how vulnerable is S6's security in terms of Android OS?

How worried should I be?

Thanks,

Just a side note, Google doesn't update the S6, Samsung does.

As for vulnerable, it's just as vulnerable as it was whenever the last patch was released: not totally insecure but definitely not up to date. Most of the vulnerabilities patched in security updates are seldom exploited IF you keep to reputable channels for apps and content (if you're gonna be sideloading apps from shady sites, then...).

But if having the latest and greatest and most-up-to-date patch is important, then yeah, only the Pixel line will keep up (and even older models in that line will eventually be deprecated at some point). Samsung has promised the S10 line will now be getting monthly security patches, so let's see if they keep the promise and how late after Google releases theirs they do it.
