How the Mediatek Helio P10 compares to Snapdragon 800?

I'm excited by the yet to be available Oppo R9 as I'm excited by its lightweight, dual sim, and the 5.5 inch screen. I'm currently on an LG G2 with a Snapdragon 800 CPU and 3000 mAh battery. The R9 battery is just 2850 mAH so I'm a little annoyed by the smaller battery size and the bigger screen of 5.5 compared to my current phone which is 5.2 in and 3000 mAH but my main concern is how the new processor (MediaTek Helip P10) compares to my older one? It's not wise for me to upgrade to a phone with a lower spec processor compared to what I'm using for 2 years!
