How to add book covers to nook?

I see that the images folder in the nook folder has png's of the book covers, but does anyone know how the naming goes to direct the app to the right cover? It's just a string of numbers. I'm talking about epubs that I add to the folder from my computer, not through the store.

edit: to be clear, I mean the Nook app on the Xoom

(edit: I figured out my original problem, but can't figure out how to delete a thread, but I do have a different question....)

You might be better able to get help from other Nook owners:

I would imagine that many here would love to be able to help you, but simply do not have the"hands-on" experience with the Nook.

Oh, poor wording on my part; I have a Xoom, I am wondering how to get book covers to show up on the nook app for imported books (epubs I downloaded).

Covers only show for books you have purchased not side-loaded on the Nook App. There is no way to do that for books you load to my knowledge. FYI if you convert your books to mobi and load them for the Kindle App they do show book covers for side-loaded files.

Actually you can add covers to the Nook app library, it involves digging in SQLite tables and messing with cover files in the sdcard. I wrote about it on XDA:

I'm having a bit of trouble finding this database with the eans. Where exactly is the directory for it? I don't really want to buy the sql editor (no other use for it besides this) so I have been trying to find it using aSqLiteManager. Any sql viewer should work, right?

Just for my understanding, is this database just generic numbers for the files sideloaded on my xoom or are they specific to each book in their market place? It seems crazy to store all the eans for books I don't even own, directly on my xoom....I know nothing about programming if that is not evident. Thank you so much though, I did not expect a resolution to this problem.

It holds info on the books you have in your local library. The db is in /data/data/bn.ereader/databases.
