Question How to adjust space in & around widgets?

S22 Ultra. It just updated itself. When it restarted, I noticed that the Weather Widget now "crowds out" other nearby icons. I noticed that Widget's icon appears to have a lot of extra space "inside", plus it seems to unnecessarily take up a lot of space around itself. I'm not sure which is the reason that other icons arexsqueezed out, but they otherwise look as if they easily could fit. I tried holding on the Weather Widget to display its "border with dots", but it wouldn't let me make that border tighter.

Is there a way I can lessen the surrounding space that widget requires - or perhaps lessen the internal space it uses - so I can get other icons to "fit in" next to it?

Unfortunately, that's up to the app developer. Sometimes a 3rd party launcher like Nova might give you little more control over the widget size, but it usually still won't help if the widget is designed with that much empty space.
