How to block auto updates on specific wifi networks?

My truck has wifi, which is quite useful. However, everytime I jump into it, my phone detects a wifi network and starts downloading updates, gobbling up the small amount of data available. The solution recommended by OnStar is to turn off auto updates, or the wifi on the phone, both of those options are unrealistic.

Does anyone know of an app, or if there is a way to stop applications from updating on a specific Wifi network?
