How to block messages from a number, but not phone calls

Hello, so in Android Marshmallow, I remember on my Samsung Note 5, I was able to block a number from texting me, but still let them call me. This was useful for blocking some friends spamming but still let them call me if something had happened. Now in android Nougat, when I try to block the number it doesn't give me the option to choose, whether I want to block messages or phone calls. So I was wondering if they took the feature out or if there is another way to do it.

Also, they way to do it in marshmallow was to go into the messaging app, go to the conversation > more > block number > then it gave you the options (That's how I did at least)

The details behind "how" are probably dependent on the SMS app you are using.

That said, setting a number as blocked from inside the SMS app should have no effect on phone calls; that being a different app.
