How to block sports scores?

EVERY single time I get any notification there is also a notification of my teams next NHL game. Does anyone know if I can stop this? I have no NHL related apps. It has the google "G" at the top of the notification but I obviously can't stop google services. Is there anything I can block that will simply stop me having to also swipe away a sports score after every notification?

I assume that's also showing up as a Google Now card, right? On the phone, when you see a Now card for an NHL game, tap the 3-horizontal-dot menu button associated with that card, and tell Google Now that you're not interested in it.
