How to change browser

[Android Central Question]

I'm not finding the option to change my browser but I do have the option to disable chrome but I'm concerned about just disabling it. Will Firefox show up on the list after I disable chrome or should it already show? I really need to upgrade my browser but I don't wish to make any mistakes.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? You can always install any other browser and open it to browser. Are you asking about changing which browser opens as default?

Chrome is pretty powerful these days -- what kind of upgrade are you looking for?

You should be able to install another browser from the Play Store and disable Chrome with no issues. When you open a link from an app, it should open in the new browser instead.

When you have more than one browser on the phone, it'll ask you which one you want to use when you open a link. In that case, just tap the browser you want and then tap "Always".
