How to change model number

I am running CM7 07302011 nightly build on my Color Nook. Today I went to use Netflix. It would not load and a pop up said I needed to update to a newer version to use Netflix. When I attempted to upgrade a pop up in the market said that the update is not available for my phone. The Nook is actually registered as a Nexus S in the software. As I remember there was a way to change the type of phone by changing the mfg and the phone type using terminal emulator. Any help? What should I change it to?

Ever consider updating? The newer nightlies have most everything fixed.

yup...considered it but was looking for a quickie way to fix the problem. Did the upgrade, upgraded Netflix as it requested. Everything is working fine...thanks for the nudge...

I'm running 7.1 RC and have the same problem with Netflix and when I try to get the new one from the market it tells me that it isn't compatible with my device. Ideas?

Upgrade to 7.1 stable or a recent nightly. Or change your dpi to 160

I have a nook color running CM7 from the sd card and I am having the same trouble with Netflix wanting to update and then it says my device is not compatible. You said to update to a newer nightly - how do you do that?

Just follow the same general instructions that you used to create the current CM7 card. Basically, you just put the card in a card reader in your PC and drop a copy of the nightly .zip (or other ROM) onto the root directory of the card. When you put the card back into the NC and boot you will be prompted to install it. If asked, do not wipe anything but Davlik.

Can't even wipe dalvik when running from SD, there is no recovery mode.

That's why I said "if asked". I run from eMMC so have never done it myself.
