How to change the new double lock screen?

After the new marshmallow update, my S6 now gives me 2 lock screens: a new swipe and then my usual pattern one. How do i get rid of the swipe one? I don't need both, plus i can't even change the clock format in it (its too small and blands with the picture from my lock screen), so it's useless and it just adds time to get to the actual functions

This is plaguing the Android world IMO... Its completely redundant and unnecessary... Were they trying to be like Apply and go towards swiping to access those additional security features we have in order to access our phones? If so I hope there is a fix fast because this is just one of many reasons I chose not to go with Apple in the first place. Keep Android features on Android and let Apple features remain on their devices. There is a reason why we choose Android in the first place.. Sorry for my digression..
