how to clear recent search history from Droid turbo 2

Hi, i just got a droid turbo 2 today. when i click on google chrome search bar my recent searches pop up. how do i stop this from happening?

Chrome is syncing with your Google account, which means that it will know your search history from any device where you were logged into your Google account.
