I've been spoiled with the hdmi out port on my RMHD - just wondering what kind of cable I need to connect the G2 to my TV to play local video files. Thanks!
If your TV has mirrorcast, you can do it wirelsssly from the G2. You can also try copying files from the G2 to a USB stick and insert them into your TV's USB port. Your TV may be able to read them. If not, and you have a PS3, the PS3 will read the copied files.
It says the g2 uses a mhl adapter which is something that plugs into your phone thru the USB port and has a HDMI on the other side which then plugs into your TV.
The only problem with some of the server or other wireless approaches, is that when playing 1080 60p, it does not play well.
I have a Samsung 8500 and although it will play 1080 directly via the USB port from a memory stick, it won't recognize files recorded at 60p. I might try that HDMI approach.
Tried my mhl adapter, but it didn't work on my tv. The adapter came with my computer monitor, so maybe there's a different kind I need?
Chromecast doesn't work good enough yet.
