How to delete auto backup album from gallery

I have an LG6 phone and I cant delete the backup folder with the pics in it. I read where people say you have to delete them from your PC, but if I do that, then I Iose all my pictures I want to have saved on my PC. Someone please tell me what to do step by step with the phone I have. Thank you!

I finally did it but not sure if I can explain everything.
I wanted to get photos off the Gallery Autobackup. I figured it had to be syncing with Google + photos. www photos.google. com
When I went there I clicked on all photos and deleted all the photos I didn't want. Synced the phone but they still showed up. It this point whether I didn't sync properly or what but they were still in the trash folder.(Note: Here I might could have just cleared the Gallery app's cache and data and resynced and it might have worked. Not sure.) I clicked on settings and deleted the trash folder also. Resynced again and this time the pics were not there only the black empty box and the photo count was still the same.
Getting closer but not quite there yet. I went to the application manager and went to the Gallery app. If you don't see it look at the top of your screen and scroll over till you see ALL. I cleared the cache and the data. I may have resynced at this point or just checked the Gallery app. Anyway, the Gallery Autobackup count was lower and the blank black empty pics were gone. Success. ;-)

New,simpler way found after testing.
1. Just go to www picasaweb.google com/lh/myphotos or www photos.google. com. They are linked. Delete the photos that you don't want to show up anymore in the Gallery Autobackup folder. After this they are gone for good so be sure you want them gone or save them somewhere else.

2. Sync your phone,

3. Go to the Application Manger and clear the Gallery app's cache and folder.

That's it.

you need to go to settings---apps---all apps and choose gallary. You will then need to clear and delete all data. This will remove all of your photos though. It is the only way I know how to delete the album.

If this remove all your photos would that mean that I would end up with no pictures in my phone. I'm having a hard time trying to delete all these backups.

Its very simple...
Step 1. Turn off the autobackup option first.

Step 2. Go to applications in settings. Then to ALL application tab. There find gallery app. Tap on it. You will see clear data option there. Click on that and clear the data. And clear cache too...

Thats it... Open gallery again.. You will see no autobackup pics....

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was going crazy as well trying to remove over 600 unwanted pics from the auto backup in Gallery and this worked for me. You just made my day.

I have done that but when I go into my gallery on my mobile the photos are still in the auto back up folder and when i click on a photo the delete option doesnt appear at all :/ so how can I delete them from my mobile does anyone know????? Its an s3 mini

I tried all sorts to remove the folder, only this worked.
Go to Gallery - Settings - Contents to Display - Uncheck the Contents you don't want to see, in my case it was Picassa.
No more Auto Backup folder.

Go to Setting - Application Manager - Go to All - Gallery - Click on Clear data

It clears the Autobackup Dropbox photos and Videos.

(Note : Make sure you take the back up of all the photos in system)

It worked for me

go to setting, select accounts, click on registered email id. then u can see the the sinced datas... remove the tick marks for autoback up and things u needed to un sinc

go to application manager ,select gallery from all , clear cash of gallery

its done ..go to gallery and check it..

NF.

First stop synchronizing. Then Go to Settings/more/application Manager/All/Gallery/and press clear Data.
if you delete it from Google+ you may not able to recover it in a later time.

it is very simple brother just open your gallery then click on option and you see ( content to display )just un check content in picasa and you are good to go
