How to detect and remove key logger software.

Before I start you need to talk to me like a child - I am not techy.

I have had a fair amount of personal info stolen from me in the last few months and I am suspecting my cell phone as both my macs have come up clean.

Is there software I can download onto my Samsung S6 to find and remove it?

If not - what do I do?

Download an anti-virus app from the play store. Clean Master, Avast, and AVG have the most powerful anti -virus engines in the android world. Scan you phone with them. If that doesn't help, come back here and we will think of something else

Clean master is the worst app for android. It is a "virus" instead of an "anti-virus"

Even if you removed the keyloging virus, i suggest you to factory reset your phone just to make sure.

Maybe it's not good as an anti-virus but it does wonders with junk files
If he is rooted and the key-logger has embedded it self in to the system partition a factory reset won't help. If he is really rooted the best way would be to do a total wipe of the system, data and cache partitions and flash the Stock OS from recovery or to flash another custom ROM. Do not restore any back up files because the virus could be in them.

agree... just backup your stuff and do a clear cache and factory reset
if you are rooted factory reset then flash the firmware
then just to be sure factory reset again and flash the firmware again
don't take any chances
