Did this, still launched when I pressed button once by mistake. I want to know how to switch it so it doesn't go on unless I push the button twice

The article I read was on Android Central, as far as I can tell I haven't received the update yet since I can't find the setting either

I even saw a YouTube video. Seemed easy the way he did it but I have no "Bixby key" under my settings on Verizon version. No update here yet

I remapped mine to the flashlight.

Here's a slightly 'hay wire' way to disable the Bixby button on the side. I just bought a Spigan case, which has buttons attached at the sides. When depressed, these buttons contact the actual buttons of the phone. If you removed the rubber button adjacent to the phone's Bixby button, it would be physically impossible to push it, as long as the cover was in place.

It is not working, I've disabled all three options but the button still starts bixby !

You have to open Bixby by that button.. Log in ..and Untick the settings in there ..
I really ...really ..really Hate it ..
Disable it soon as I got my phone ..

I studied the tutorials on what Bixby is and how to use it. I'm still learning as well as Bixby is still learning my daily actions. We're both getting along well. Because I know what it is and that is not designed to be like Google Assistant and Siri that help me to understand its uses as well. Bixby is my buddy lol. Maybe if those who don't like it at first glance would take some time daily and study the tutorials you may find it's useful and by all means don't compare it to the other assistance because they aren't designed to be use in the same way. Don't let the word assistant confuse you. Go on now, go on. Give Bixby a chance.
Why would I want to take the trouble to take a Bixbie course when Google Assistant works fine and doesn't require any effort to learn?

Because if you read the first part of the tutorial you find out that Bixby Assistant is not meant to do what Google Assistant does. YSecond reason is you would learn something

I meant something a little more specific. What great thing does Bixbie do that GA doesn't? You're in a position to know. I don't know a soul who uses it.

As for learning something? One might argue I could use that time to learn something more valuable to me.

Too many to name. Go into Bixby 2.0 not Bixby Home. Press the Bixby button once or twice, whichever you have it set to. Choose the 3 menu dots at top right. Choose tutorials and find "What Bixby Can Do". Read thru the examples.

How do I open Bixby? Do I have to hold down the button or swipe right on home screen or can I do voice command like "Ok Bixby" like you can with Google Assistant?

Okay maybe you need a different phone.
Can you point me to another phone with an S Pen? I can't find one so if I want my S Pen I have to get a Note but I don't like Bixby despite having given it a chance. Truthfully I'm not really into any assistants, I wish I could just tap the settings in Bixby and remap that button to an app I would actually use. It's really not that much to ask for. Can you please tell your superiors up at Samsung headquarters to stop being like apple and let us have the choice please?

This is a solution for disabling the annoying bixby button on the note 9.

Enable Developer Options.

Scroll all the way down and click on "Background Check"

Disable Bixby Service, Bixby Voice and Voice Wake-Up

And thats it. Try to press the bixby button after that and youll get no response.

Works for me; thanks!

Lol I don't work for Samsung. I just like my Note phones and my Spen. I accepted that there was gonna be a Bixby button and I decided to learn how to use Bixby and how to hold my phone and where to place my fingers. I just never fed into youtubers and other users saying how bad Bixby is, the button blah blah blah. I decided I'd be adult about it and use it and not complain and repeat what I heard someone else say about it. It you wanna remap it I guess you have to find a way. Or just learn how to use Bixby.
