How to disable proximity sensor on non-rooted nexus 4?

Hello, I bought a used nexus 4 and I was told its screen had been replaced. There's this issue my screen turns black whenever I dial a number even if the phone is in my hands it'll go black and I just can't access back my phone, same happens with Skype calls so any detailed help on disabling the proximity censor on Nexus 4 non-rooted would be much appreciated!
