Below is a link to the executive offices of Verizon. I know it works because I've used it in the past 2 weeks and gotten a phone call (the next day) from the executive assistant to the president. We should all send emails about what a sham this release has been and how their trying to squeeze in some Verizon bloatware is invalidating the purpose of buying a Nexus device. I'm also guessing that adding these few pieces of bloat may prevent us from getting the instant OS updates that a Nexus device should receive. Here's the link:

Verizon knows people are clamoring for the phone. They're not dumb. The RAZR really must not be selling very well. To blame the delay on their own non-essential software is PR spin. Verizon simply doesn't want this phone out right now.

This. They don't want it out now - it's as simple as that. I hope Google is pissed.

They announced the nexus over a month ago, just with no release date. I'm sorry but you don't announce something if it isn't ready to be sold.

Google announced it. Verizon hasn't announced anything and as far as higher up Verizon employees are concerned we don't know anything about a delay, it just hasn't been announced yet. You would have better luck emailing Google than Verizon saying "I can't believe you are delaying the Nexus because <rumor>."

Edit: The phone is ready to be sold and looked to be sellable at the ICS event. It's out in Europe, it's just a matter of Verizon releasing it. That's why the Google announcement was fine at the time it was.

They most certainly issued a press release announcing they would be carrying the Galaxy Nexus...it came shortly after Google's presentation.

They did, and they're still holding to that announcement. My point is that we shouldn't start emailing and complaining when Verizon hasn't announced any date yet and hasn't announced a delay. When it's not out by December 1st, I'll understand. Many Google representatives have said we would be able to buy a Nexus in November. Until then, Verizon hasn't technically had any delays.

I just see a lot of people (me included) very unhappy and complaining in this forum. Some saying they'll leave Verizon, some just complaining about how long it's taking to let us buy this phone...complaining to each other, to customer service, to their local store reps. It does none of us any good because all of these people have the power to do nothing, nor do most of them even care. If anyone is going to complain, send it to someone that has the resources to do something about the problem. I'm not naive enough to think that he's going to get a dozen emails and then fix everything for us on Monday, but at least he's in a position to do something if he chose to...no one else we complain to can.

If you think this is a dumb idea or your in no hurry to get this phone, then don't do anything. It's the surest way to make nothing happen.

Dear Mr. Haller,

I am writing to express my displeasure at your company's complete failure to keep your customers informed about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It has been over a month since the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was made, and yet you have still demonstrated complete indifference towards your customers that are clamoring to buy this device. I signed up for your mailing list, but the only thing I have received as a result is in advertisement for the Droid Razr. I do not want the Droid Razr. I want the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, as does everyone else who signed up for that mailing list. To mail us an advertisement for a product that was plainly visible to anyone who took the time and effort to find where the mailing list was located is tantamount to an insult.

It has further come to my attention that the likely cause of these delays and silence is bugs resulting from Verizon's insistence on including carrier software, which is causing problems. This is completely unacceptable. The Galaxy Nexus is a Nexus device. That means no third party apps whatsoever. Furthermore, the Nexus line traditionally caters to the Android aficionado, someone who, upon receiving the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will likely uninstall the carrier-specific application without further thought. The delay is therefore without cause.

To sum things up, I am greatly annoyed because frankly, I want to buy a product from your company, and you aren't letting me. I want to give you my money for a product that you are perfectly capable of launching a fully-capable version of, but, for reasons known or unknown, you are refusing to. Unless I hear something within the next three days, I can assure you that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the last Verizon product I ever buy, and I will vehemently discourage my friends and coworkers from doing business with Verizon Wireless in the future.

Sincerely,

We're being strung along by vaporware, simple and plain.
The phone was revealed mere hours after the Razr. The Razr is out, and this doesn't even have a concrete release date. Hell, the Rezound was announced a week after and still beat out a Nexus release date announcement.
I know it sucks, but Google knew that announcing this would steal potential Razr and Rezound sales and make us play the waiting game. A classic vaporware strategy.
Now as to why Verizon bothered doing a press release without planning to release it anytime soon is beyond me.
All I know is that I've bashed Apple and prevented friends and co-workers from making the "mistake" of buying one. But Apple has the decency of revealing a product AND announcing a release date. Not only that, but they sell their products directly to customers instead of carrier only, and they actually keep Verizon crapware off their phone.
I still prefer Google products, but I have significantly lowered respect for their company.
And you KNOW this phone ain't coming out anytime soon if Steve Woz didn't wait for the release date and snatched it up early.

Well, I went ahead and sent an email....not expecting much. I've had to send a few letters in my lifetime to company's like this so I know how to word things pretty well. I hope they listen because I not only have a family plan I also have had Fios tv and internet since it first became available and my area was one of the first areas to get it in the country.....I'll let you know what I find out. If I get a call I'm going to ask him If i can just send him the money for the phone...lol

This is a pretty direct letter but I've found from past experiences that its best to first praise the company and tell them why you value their service and then go into what is disappointing.....just my thought.

I hate to tell you, but the contact link in the OP is to the wrong guy. The contact link is for a gentleman with the title of "President - Enterprise and Government Markets". See the Enterprise and Government part? That means not you and me. That means he worries about selling to major corporations and the feds.

Instead, I would suggest mailing someone with a title like "Vice President - National Customer Service" If anything, the CS reps are the ones who will give you some kind of accommodation.
