How to enable MTP with a broken screen?

Trying to transfer files from Samsung S5 phone to laptop, however Android requires you to change the setting from PTP to MPT every time I used to connect my USB cable from phone to laptop. I'm not able to change the settings as I have a broken screen that shows black. Also touchscreen feature is broken too. Please help me enable MPT so i can transfer data off. Is there another way to get my files off? Prefer to use Windows Explorer. Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! That might be tricky. You might be able to do it with an ADB command, but that would require USB Debugging to be turned on, which would be difficult to do as well with a broken screen: video - How Do I change from PTP to MTP mode?
