How to enable orange bubble notifications?

I've had the Gmail app since day one for my emails and I have noticed that out of all the apps I have on my phone, Gmail is one of the few that doesn't have the notification bubble in the corner of the app, and i haven't figured a way to turn that on. Yes, notifications are on all the way, other apps do have the bubble with the number on it, except for Gmail. I tried uninstalling and re downloading. What am I missing?

Also there's one from Tesla that slot of people use with Nova launcher.. Not sure if it works with stock TouchWiz (same for the above app.. You'll have to test whether it works with stock Samsung UI).

I use TeslaUnread and Nova Prime. Not sure if it works with TW or not. I always use Nova as launcher. You can give it try though. Awesome app. You can set the shape, color, location, and size of the bubble.

If your are using TouchWiz, try Rad Unread. It worked like a charm.
