I made the order on the 3rd and 1-2 weeks shipping means 17th of December not 19. Kinda disappointed here i have to admit.

Well the 19th is the day after 3 weeks... So the email is for them to cover their asses. Better to quote you the last possible date than to quote you early. I am confident we will be getting more shipping emails starting Monday morning

I think they are quoting the delivery date not shipping date.

Ordered on November 27th, when estimated shipping was 6-7 weeks. Requested shipping information on December 4th via the link in the OP. Received a reply on 12/7, with the message, "Your order should ship by the evening of January 16." That's almost exactly 7 weeks from when I placed my order.

From reading all those messages everyone get's from Google including the one i got, it's safe to assume that they just give you the maximum wait time so you wont be able to complain later on that Google promised an early shipping but i didnt get the phone.

Pretty much looks like a canned response based on your order number and a calendar. Got a response less than 2 minutes after sending the request. *sigh* Really hope I get it before the second week of January.

I ordered on the 4th December. I am hoping this phone will replace my current iPhone 4S (I moved from Android back in the 2.3 days). One question, will I need to be at home to sign for this package?

It's shipped by UPS, they try to deliver packages something like 2-3 times and if by then you didnt take the package then it goes to one of their facilities and you can go and take it from there. This is usually what happens.

I have done the request for this and got an update in minutes stating they will be out for delivery on the 19th which sucks but at least i know it is coming soon. I ordered on the 4th at 5:15 in the UK

We discussed here this issue already. You are correct saying that they send the absolute last day of shipping according to what they told you when you made the reservation.

I saw few people here that got a shipping of X weeks and after few days the device was actually shipped but those people are very few.

Just like you i (and i guess the rest here) hope that maybe they will ship the devices sooner as soon as they have more stock but who knows. We can only wait and hope for the best

Ordered on the 27th with an estimated ship time of 2-3 weeks.
Emailed Google on the 5th got a reply on the 7th. December 19th is the date they gave me. What I don't understand is that some people who ordered on the same date as me and got the same shipping estimate got their devices today and most are getting them on Monday. Guess luck isn't on my side?

Dude, after they opened to preorder they got a ton of things. On the first day, 8 GB shot up to almost 7 weeks and 16 GB got to 4-5 weeks.
